Biltong Questions

Just curious if anyone here has ever made Biltong and if so your opinion of it or any tips on making it.

I hadn't either until I listened to an episode the the survival podcast and he was going on and on about how good it was so it pricked my interest. Apparently it has a near indefinite shelf life which is quite valuable IMO and if it tastes as good or better than jerky (like he claims) it seems like a no brainer.

If you do end up making some please post back with the results.

I love it - all you need is a cardboard box light bulb, and the ingredients - beef, coriander, and your choice of spices if you want to add them. Less stiff than jerky, and I like it a lot more. Plenty of online videos or walk-throughs to show you how to make it.

Sounds alot like the jerky I make in my dehydrator. My newest grandson is a great fan. He's been teething and he loves it. When he drop it though, the dogs are on it right away. They sit patiently near him, just hoping he will lose a piece off his walker. He's probably been throwing it to them just to watch them fight.
